It took an hour to think up and six years to build: the ultrasleek modernist Villa Kogelhof, hidden away in an agrarian area in the south of the Netherlands. Architect Paul de Ruiter wanted a self-sufficent glass villa, the client -an onion and potato trader – wanted a house with the clean esthetics of a parking garage. They both got what they wanted.
