TRACY•TV #10 – Amsterdam Art Prize, Nextdoor, climate responsive water design

This week I did something very exciting: I moderated a symposium about depopulation in the Royal Palace where His Majesty, King of the Netherlands Willem Alexander, Queen Máxima and Her Royal Princess Beatrix of the Netherlands were all three in attendence. In another fancy pancy environment, I got to announce the nominations for the Amsterdam Art Prize. Later in the week, I spoke on a huge boat about climate responsive water design, saw an amazing performance at the Holland Festival and went to the Fotomuseum in Den Hague to see the black&white photographs of Peter Hujar.

As a journalist, it’s important for me to stay curious about new forms of storytelling. Vlogs (videoblogs) are a fascinating medium, because they challenge me to tell my story in more ways than just sharing information. My vlog gives me the opportunity to enrich my stories with a personal touch, and present them in the most concrete and visually attractive way possible. In my weekly vlogs I take you with me to interviews, backstage at the John Adams Institute and Stadsleven and to all the events I visit and moderate. I’m learning as I go!
