TRACY•TV #12 – Esther Agricola, Rijksmuseum garden party, renovation Maastunnel

I love to live in Amsterdam, among other things because of the many surprises the city offers. This week, I encountered two free concerts on a boat at the canals and a load of naked cyclists for my house. No wonder increasingly more people want to live here. How to house them all? I spoke to Esther Agricola, head of Planning and Sustainability of the city of Amsterdam about this. And again a lot of parties this week: I went to the Rijksmuseum garden party among the amazing artworks of Jean Dubuffet, the Fontana Gallery summer party, told about the birthday (and upcoming renovation) of the Rotterdam Maastunnel at my weekly radio gig and sang a happy birthday to my husband Baptist.

As a journalist, it’s important for me to stay curious about new forms of storytelling. Vlogs (videoblogs) are a fascinating medium, because they challenge me to tell my story in more ways than just sharing information. My vlog gives me the opportunity to enrich my stories with a personal touch, and present them in the most concrete and visually attractive way possible. In my weekly vlogs I take you with me to interviews, backstage at the John Adams Institute and Stadsleven and to all the events I visit and moderate. I’m learning as I go!
