Citydwellers are reclaiming the streets! See the ‘leefstraten’, the ‘living streets’, like the Kersstraat in Utrecht, where for a few weeks the neighborhood uses the space normally reserved for cars. And in the New Institute, curator René Boer reflects on how decades of squatting have impacted the city of today. And meanwhile there is music on the canals of Amsterdam, thanks to the Canal Festival!

As a journalist, it’s important for me to stay curious about new forms of storytelling. Vlogs (videoblogs) are a fascinating medium, because they challenge me to tell my story in more ways than just sharing information. My vlog gives me the opportunity to enrich my stories with a personal touch, and present them in the most concrete and visually attractive way possible. In my weekly vlogs I take you with me to interviews, backstage at the John Adams Institute and Stadsleven and to all the events I visit and moderate. I’m learning as I go!
