This week I moderated a debate at Funda about how we can design a dreamhouse based on the real data of consumerwishes and I presented the winner of the Amsterdam Street Art award. Also, I give you a behind the scenes of my talkshow Stadsleven and I went to Antwerp to see the Margiela exhibition in the Fashion Museum.
This week I was in Londen for three very important reasons: to see the amazing David Hockney exhibition in Tate Britian on the last day, to see the amazing Balenciaga exhibition in the V&A that just opened and to celebrate our 11th anniversary with my amazing husband.
Also I met up with urban sociologist David Madden and with photographer Bas Losekoot to talk about his serie ‘Familiar Strangers’ on the people that you recognize but don’t know as you’re walking everyday through big cities.
This week, I was in the jury of the Amsterdam Street Art Award, talked with Lauren Greenfield about her photobook Generation Wealth, spotted tech trends at the Next Web Conference and watched myself on tv in an item on water for CBS.
This week I took a look at the new living-concept for friends in the B’mine tower in Amsterdam and got the photobook of Gerry Hurkmans about the Vinex neighbourhoods. Also, I had a small fashioncrisis when I went to the fashionshow of Anne de Grijff and had loads of yummie foods to eat…
Busy week again. I’ve talked to Thomas Frank about ‘Listen up Liberals’, ate with cutlery designed by architect Ben van Berkel (UNStudio), got a preview from the new photobook of Marie-José Jongerius, gave a class to students of the Design Academy Eindhoven and listened to a talk from Boris Dittrich about Berlin.
