The tagline ‘Open Mind Sharp Business’ expresses the correlation between the mentality and the business climate of the Amsterdam region. ‘Open mind’ refers to the region’s diversity, inclusiveness, openness to new ideas and quality of life. ‘Sharp business’ emphasizes innovation, entrepreneurial spirit and the ability to do business swiftly. I am one of the Amsterdammers who were asked to embody the character of Amsterdam for this short film for the IAmsterdam campaign.

3 en 4 juni was de Hackathon van de The Appsterdam Smart City Challenge. Amsterdam Smart City probeert met dit soort evenementen innovatie oploosingen voor de stad te vinden.Het doel van dit event was stedelijke uitdagingen om te buigen in kansen. De drie hoofdthema’s daarvan waren: Smart Energy, Smart Mobility en Smart Stadium. Tracy werd tijdens dit event geïnterviewd over haar visie van de smart city en hoe Amsterdam in de toekomst zou kunnen profiteren van dit soort ‘slimme’ oplossingen.

The Appsterdam Smart City Challenge in June of 2015 was 48 hours full of creativity, hacking and innovation. It was organised by Amsterdam Smart City, the innovation platform of the Amsterdam Metropolitan Area. The goal was to turn urban challenges into opportunities that address the themes: Smart Energy, Smart Mobility and Smart Stadium. During this event, I was interviewed about the Smart City concept and how can it change the future of Amsterdam.
