John Adams: Lauren Groff on her novel ‘Matrix’

On Feb. 23rd, the John Adams is proud to present the rising American literary star Lauren Groff in conversation with moderator Els Quaegebeur. Her most recent novel inhabits the borderlands between myth and history. Set in the early Middle Ages, MATRIX is a mystical exploration of the raw power of female creativity in a corrupt and dangerous world. She will be joined by Annette Kruisbrink and Franka van Essen of LAIS, a guitar and vocal duo who play medieval music from the time in which Matrix is situated.
