ZomerExpo organized by ArtWorlds is the largest national contemporary art exhibition held at a Dutch museum, consisting of works of art selected anonymously after open registration. The annual summer event, first launched in 2011, is an amazing barometer of artistic taste. Everyone who creates art is invited to participate.
For Water ZomerExpo 2017 ArtWorlds is looking for paintings, drawings, films, animations, 2D- and 3D-prints, videos, sculptures, installations, performances and scale models. Five preliminary rounds (‘voorrondes’) are organised in different cities in the Netherlands. During these days a 15-person jury, including me, consisting of gallery owners, curators, art critics and artists selects 250 works of art in total, all of which have been anonymously submitted.
