I went to the Milan Design Week, always the international hotspot for the design world – and 2017 was no exception. And… I started doing a video blog, a ‘vlog’. It’s fun to experiment with a new form of storytelling. This is the vlog for my first day, including Atelier010’s project Sugarrush, work by Piet Hein Eek, en exhibition in a 16th-century villa curated by Airbnb, the Dutch exhibition Masterly and Tom Dixon’s collaboration with Ikea (behh).

Jolan van der Wiel: We wanted to show the transport of energy from A to B. Normally you don´t have an emotional feeling on what´s going on with the light and its energy. By changing the sort of lightbulbs for our project, you can finally see what kind of energy it uses.
