One of the reasons I love Amsterdam is because there is always something unexpected happening – like a choir singing classical music on a boat in the canal and a whole parade of naked cyclists passing by my kitchen window. No wonder more and more people want to live here. But how to house them all? I spoke about this with Esther Agricola, head of Planning and Sustainability of the city of Amsterdam. And again lots of parties this week: I went to the Rijksmuseum garden party (tout everybody is there) surrounded by the artworks of Jean Dubuffet and the Fontana Gallery summer party. At my weekly radio gig I talked about the renovation of Rotterdam’ s iconic Maastunnel and sang a happy birthday song for my husband Baptist.

This week, I encountered two free concerts on a boat at the canals and a load of naked cyclists for my house. No wonder increasingly more people want to live here. How to house them all? I spoke to Esther Agricola, head of Planning and Sustainability of the city of Amsterdam about this. And again a lot of parties this week: I went to the Rijksmuseum garden party among the amazing artworks of Jean Dubuffet, the Fontana Gallery summer party, told about the birthday (and upcoming renovation) of the Rotterdam Maastunnel at my weekly radio gig and sang a happy birthday to my husband Baptist.
